I Am A Girl..


I'm a girl

they say I can't walk alone at night

but there I stand with three stars on my shoulders,

serving my kingdom, brave, straight and tight.


They say I can't endeavor sports or run at all

Then there I am in the cricket ground 

drawing a six on every ball

I'm free, I'm not supposed to be bound


For them, I'm just a beauty tool,

throwing glamour on screens big and huge

perhaps, the struggles, dedication, hardwork behind

can't be understood by moronic fools



Who are 'they' setting norms for girls?

We are no less than anyone 

We are the shining pearls.
